‘Tis the season of giving.
Last year represented a marketing milestone for online shopping during the hectic holiday hustle of the always busy Thanksgiving weekend. With a seasonal shift continuing to drift further away from the traditional lengthy lines and shopping cart sprints of years past, a record $3.34 billion was spent online as shoppers chose to spend their dollars digitally and avoid the anxiety of midnight mall adventures everywhere.
Following suit, Cyber Monday shattered records alongside its cousin in commerce bringing in $3.25 billion and a 155% traffic boom on route to becoming the biggest day in the history of U.S. e-commerce.
With a recent research study showing that more than 50% of holiday shoppers begin holiday gift planning as early as October, its of the utmost importance to develop a proactive strategy and plan ahead to maximize your revenue-earning potential and avoid missing out on the busiest shopping weekend of the whole year. Here’s where we come in.
Your Black Friday/Cyber Monday Campaign Schedule
Let’s get it started. Think of November as not just a month, but an opportunity to reach your clients when they’re most looking to make a purchase.
Week One: Submit your Black Friday/Cyber Monday request to your friendly, FetchRev Customer Success Manager. This can be accomplished by one of three ways, by emailing success@fetchrev.com, by calling (877) 394-2410, or by clicking here for the ever popular and always awesome online request.
Week Two (Touch One): Up and at them. Scheduling out your Black Friday campaign to run from Tuesday, November 7th at 6AM to 11:59PM on Black Friday, November 24th, provides ample time for both the early bird and last-minute deal seekers to receive your offer front and center on the channels they frequent the most.
Week Three (Touch Two): Keep it coming. Providing a second chance for the procrastinators and busy bodies of your email list, let’s schedule out your Cyber Monday campaign to start a week later on Tuesday, November 14th at 6AM and have it end on Cyber Monday, November 27th at 11:59 PM. Providing a little bit of distance between your Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaigns allows for an avoidance of the annoyance that can come when multiple offers are grouped together and sent out without a breather in-between. Remember, this is the time of year where your customers are going to be inundated with offers, so abiding by best practices puts you in the best position to succeed.
Word to the wise: If you’re late submitting your campaigns (hey, life happens), your campaign start dates will be pushed back a week, but your end dates will remain the same.
Submission Deadlines: Start scheduling your calendar reminder notifications. For a November 7th start date, submit your campaign request by October 30th. For a November 14th start date, submit your campaign request by November 8th.
